There may be quite a deal out there for someone looking for a new car.
-- GM is paying dealers $7,000 for every new Saturn or Pontiac model still on the lot.  It could possibly almost cut in half the price of Pontiac’s cheapest model.  The shutdown of Pontiac was announced earlier in the year.  GM announced this fall that it would discontinue Saturn after a deal to buy the carmaker fell through.  The big push to move leftover inventory expires January 4th.  GM is also selling Hummer and is likely to shut down Saab.
