프로스트 - 가지않은 길

제가 좋아하는 Frost의 시입니다.

 

한길을 선택해야하는 인간. 가지 않은 길에 대한 아쉬움을 가지고 살아갈 수 밖에 없는 인간.

선택에 의해 삶이 결정되는 인간을 묘사하는 시로 유명하죠.

 

선택은 매순간 마다 이루어지고 있습니다. 지.금.도~

 

저 또한 남들이 가지 않은 길을 가본 경험이 있기 때문에...

이제는 남들과 다른 선택을 하기 쉽더군요.

제가 간 길에는 전에 보지 못한 신기한 것들이 가득했답니다.

그리고 과연 또 어떤것을 마주하게 될지도 모른다는 호기심역시 ^^

 

The Road Not Taken                        
by Robert Frost

 

  Two Roads diverged in a yellow wood,
  And sorry I could not travel both
  And be one traveler, long I stood
  And looked down one as far as I could
  To where it bent in the undergrowth;

 

  Then took the other, as just as fair,
  And having perhaps the better claim,
  Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
  Though as for that the passing there
  Had worn them really about the same,

 

  And both that morning equally lay
  In leaves no step had trodden black.
  Oh, I kept the first for another day!

  Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
  I doubted if I should ever come back.

 

  I shall be telling this with a sigh
  Somewhere ages and ages hence:
  Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
  I took the one less traveled by,
  And that has made all the difference.
