A big storm hit the nation's capital and temperatures dropped well below freezing. But that did not stop more than 150 people from heading to the National Zoo to bid farewell to Tai Shan, a four year old Panda that's about to be sent to China to become part of a breeding program there. The National Zoo's program was cut short due to the weather but not before the popular panda received a three-tiered frozen cake made of apples, carrots, beets, and bamboo. Tai Shan's last day on public view is Wednesday -- before being flown to China a day later with Mei Lan, a 3-year-old female panda from Zoo Atlanta.
